Ingredients:
4 1/2 cups rolled oats (not Quick) 3 1/4 cups light vegetable broth 1/2 cup soy sauce 2 tsp yeast extract 1 large onion, diced 2 tsp. mixed spices 1 Tbs. basil, dried 1 Tbs. oregano, dried 1/2 cup mushrooms, finely chopped
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees, and grease a baking sheet. Put all ingredients except the oats in a large pot over high-heat, and bring to a boil. Turn down the heat and stir in the oats. Cook until the liquid is absorbed, about 5-6 minutes, but be careful not to let burn. Stir, let cool, stir again. Pat into burger shapes (thick works better), and place on the baking sheet. Bake for 25 minutes, flip, and then bake for another 15 to 20 minutes.
