Modifying Recipe "Peanut Butter/Carob Chip Cookies"

Ingredients:
2 cups smooth peanut butter (or other nut butter) 1 1/3 cups maple syrup 2 tsp. vanilla 1 tsp. salt 3 to 3 1/2 cups whole wheat pastry flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. baking powder 1 cup dairy-free carob chips
Directions:
Cream together the peanut butter, maple syrup, vanilla, salt, and carob chips. Slowly add the flour until mixture becomes a soft dough. Do not knead, or dough will become crumbly. Roll into 1 inch balls. Place on a cookie sheet, and then press down with a greased fork, making a criss-cross pattern. (I dip the fork into ground fructose in between each cookie) Bake at 350 for 10-15 minutes. Let cool before removing from pan.
