Modifying Recipe "Baked Black Beans w/ Biscuits"

Ingredients:
3-4 15oz cans black beans, rinsed and drained 1 16oz can tomato sauce 1 1/2 C chopped onions (I use white and red both) 1 red bell pepper, chopped 1 yellow bell pepper, chopped 1 green bell pepper, chopped 1 cup hot sauce or smooth (not chunky) salsa of choice 2 T maple syrup 1-2 T chili powder 2 tsp powdered ginger 1-2 tsp cumin 1 tsp ground red pepper salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
Place all ingredients into a well sprayed 9x13 pan. Top with this biscuit recipe: http://recipes.hewus.com/Show_Recipe.pl?ID=336 I use a very small circle cutter and don't put them to where they actually touch. They are close and most bake together, but I like the beans better than the biscuits so I go sparse :-) Bake in 350 oven for approx 1 hour. I tend to use home cooked beans, so I'm not sure if it's 3 or 4 cans worth. The mixture (with peppers, onions etc added) fills the pan about 2/3 of the way up before the biscuits are added if that helps. Roll out all leftover biscuit dough very thin. Brush with melted coconut oil, sprinkled with cinnamon sugar and roll up like cinnamon rolls. Slice into snail cookies and bake on a cookie sheet.
