Ingredients:
1 1/2 cup onion diced 1 1/2 cup green pepper diced 2 T. olive oil 1 1/2 cup TVP 1 1/2 cup boiling water 1 - 6 oz. can tomato paste 1/2 cup water 2 T. tamari 1 1/2 T. chili powder 1 T. dijon mustard 1 T. molasses 1 T. cider vinegar 1 tsp. hot sauce salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
In a non-stick skillet, saute onions and peppers in olive oil for 5 minutes. In a small bowl, place TVP, pour the boiling water over the top, and set aside to rehydrate for 5 minutes. Add the rehydrated TVP and the remaining ingredients, except for the buns, to the skillet. Stir well and continue to cook an additional 5 minutes. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed. Serve on buns or rolls.
