This recipe works with 1 cup of the granules: 1 C. boiling water 1/2 C. breadcrumbs 1/4 C. whole-wheat flour 1 tsp. sage 1 tsp. oregano 1/2 tsp. garlic powder 1/2 tsp. fennel seed 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper I have to double, triple, quad and so on this recipe but it gives you the basic idea for 1 cup. You can do it like this as well: TVP (soaked in veggie broth) 2 garlic cloves crushed 1 onion chopped 3 tablespoons of parsley 1 egg replacer 1/4 cup breadcrumbs Salt, pepper, oregano, basil Or if you are going to be using them for mostly Italian dishes then just mix them with the spaghetti seasoning pack and go with that. Another one is: 1 cup ketchup 1 cup brown sugar 1 tsp dry mustard 1/2 cup vinegar 1/2 cup water I multiply this many times because it doesn't go far but you get the idea. She likes this one brushed on tempeh as it's grilling.
Directions:
Form mixture into desired shapes (patties, sausages, balls, etc). Cook immediately, or refrigerate or freeze for later use. To cook: Heat gently in a little oil or pan spray, until browned. Or, spray with pan spray and broil for 5-10 minutes and then bake at 350 degrees until browned.
